The return of the Variety Club Showbusiness Awards

The Variety Club Showbusiness Awards will be making a comeback at the event, alongside the launch of the Variety Alumni Club programme. 

For decades, the Awards attracted the world’s biggest stars while earning vast sums for disabled and disadvantaged children. The awards ceremonies, televised by the BBC, were the first to create a tangible link between celebrities and philanthropy. Many stars received a coveted silver heart award from Variety, with the list of recipients including Sir Michael Caine, Dame Judy Dench, The Beatles, Ricky Gervais, Helen Mirren, Stephen Fry and David Walliams.

At this event we continue this tradition, albeit in a different way, and Variety is absolutely delighted to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the BBC.
