A day's salmon fishing for four on Stracathro beat of River North Esk

A Day for 4/5 rods on the prolific Stracathro Beat. October is traditionally the best month with autumn salmon joining the summer grilse. 

20 salmon and 8 seatrout were caught in the month last year.  

Success cannot be guaranteed but should this year’s team fail to catch a fish James Campbell Adamson has kindly offered to host them again in 2024 free of charge! 

There is no ghillie, but rods will be shown the water.  

There is a comfortable, warm, bank-side fishing hut and picnic area. Fly only and all fish to be returned.  

14th October is the reserved date  but  there may be other options available.
