Description

Nowhere Buses is a limited edition giclee print by Jamie Reid. An appropriation of this Situationist image first appeared in the Suburban Press Poster Book in the early 1970s, later used as the Boredom and Nowhere buses for the Sex Pistols. From an edition of 300, printed on 290 gsm Hahnemuhle bamboo paper, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist. Size (cm): 61 x 105. Included in winning bid alongside above print is Jamies latest book Rogue Materials 1972-2021.

Artist Bio Artist, iconoclast, anarchist, punk, hippie, shit-stirring rebel and romantic. His iconoclastic defacements of pop culture and nationalistic images with ransom note lettering became synonymous with punk rock, and his most famous imagery defined an era: exemplified in the cover art for the Sex Pistols’ Never Mind the Bollocks, Anarchy In The UK, & God Save The Queen.

His works are held in collections by New York’s Museum of Modern Art, London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, and Tate Modern Gallery.
