Dinner at Middle Temple Hall
Description
Middle Temple is one of the four Inns of Court. The Hall was completed in 1572, and officially opened by Elizabeth the First. It is one of the finest examples of a hammerbeam roof in the world.
It is full of history: the ‘Ancients’ Table’ is constructed from the hatch cover of the Golden Hinde the ship in which Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe, and William Shakespeare first performed Twelfth Night in the hall in 1602.
It remains at the heart of the Inn. During the Legal terms Benchers (Judges and senior lawyers) and Members still attend splendid dinners. You are invited to join them as a guest in this matchless setting.
